Movie Theatres: A growing vertical for REGEN Energy

Given REGEN Energy's growing success in the movie theater industry, we're presenting at this week's meetings of the National Association of Theatre Owners of California & Nevada.

Ana-Paula Heath (our SoCal based corporate account manager) presented  in Los Angeles yesterday, and James Corner (our Bay Area account representative) will present at tomorrow's meeting in San Francisco.

In 2009, we started our first deployment at Allen Theatres, a chain in New Mexico, where we demonstrated fabulous results in terms of energy efficiency benefits (which led to strong reductions in utility bills, coupled with wonderful financial incentives from El Paso Electric) as well as substantial operational improvements.  For example, the Operations manager loved the ability to adjust operating schedules for any site over the web, no longer having to drive out to each site.  Moreover, the ability to lock out HVAC units or cap them at duty cycles known to be perfectly fine even during hot weather negates his continual fears that staff would  adjust  thermostats without his knowledge, unnecessarily driving up their utility bills.

In 2012, we started  deployments in theaters in Southern California, with benefits already being generated.  The strong utility incentives for automating demand response (that REGEN can implement out-of-the-box) substantially enhance the financial return on investment for customers, never mind the typical peak demand and consumption reduction benefits reflected on their utility bills.

If you'd like more information about the financial and operational benefits we derive for theater operators, please feel free to contact me so that I can put you in touch with relevant account managers.
