REGEN Energy is the newest member organization of the Peak Load Management Alliance, the leading U.S. organization dedicated to advance the adoption of Demand Response through the combined efforts of the nation's most advanced utilities, demand response technology providers, and curtailment specialists.
PLMA's Fall Conference, hosted by the Tennessee Valley Authority, will be held Nov 14-16 in Chattanooga. The conference features a set of timely topics, including discussions of the recently implemented North American Electricity Reliability Corporation (NERC) Demand Response Availability Data System (DADS) which went live in October, and “Integrating Demand Response and Energy Efficiency”, given that utilities now recognize how Demand Response programs alone do not necessarily generate significant customer participation.
REGEN's Tim Angus will attend the PLMA Board Meeting as our board representative, and Mark Kerbel has been invited to present during the Technology Showcase segment of the conference. Mark will discuss EnviroGrid's unique combination of Energy Efficiency and Demand Response benefits to the underserved mid-sized Commercial and Industrial sector.
Is there any update on this?
ReplyDeleteThe update is that at the board meeting, I "was volunteered" and graciously accepted the position of vice chairman of the organization, and since then, have been active in a number of efforts to enhance the group's activities. Note that I recently posted news about PLMA's upcoming spring conference in New York City, with ConEd as the key sponsor.
